Compare between the older version 430EX, The new version recycle times have been reduced by 20%. Beside that, now the flash gun featuring a new handy quick release/locking mechanism like this big brother 580EXII.

Pro

1. Good build quality
2. Love the quick release locking mechanism… no more screwing~
3. Accurate AF assist focus point (Support up to 9 focus point only)
4. Easy to use.
5. Smaller and light compare to 580EX

Con

1. No master… only can perform as slave.
2. Not as powerful as 580EX (of coz lah…)
3. Doesn’t come with bounce card…
4. No freebies… oni flash stand and pouch…

I was looking for Nissin i622, but most of them selling quite pricey and those who offer good price no stock pula… beside… Nissin i622 AF assist is not that accurate after reading some of the review… I’m looking for something that really help me in low light situation. I always unable to shoot anything with my camera when poor lighting… my camera AF-assist suck!!! plus build in flash suck too… That’s why I need flashy to cover my gatalness… now with this I CAN FLASH MORE~ anytime… anywhere…

End of the day, 580EX still way too expensive and recently canon price all gone up… I don’t use much flash gun actually~ just certain occasion like during in somewhere dark~ where only me… and my camera~ both alone…
